Safety Advice – Riber Products Throw Bag Rescue Lines
Further to our recent media release, the OFT wishes to bring a recall notice relating to specific throw bag rescue lines to the attention of the owners/operators of commercial and recreational craft, as well as rowing clubs, swimming clubs, adventure centres and other users:

Type/number of model: 15m 4042; 20m 4062 and 25m 4043
Risk type: Drowning
Two welded parts of the rope can come apart. If being used during a rescue, the person could drown.
Country of origin: China
Risk level: Serious
Anyone in possession of one of these rescue lines should take it out of use immediately and contact the OFT, telephone 686500.
