Review of Ageing Population Report provides an update on research project

A report exploring how increased life expectancy is likely to affect the Island’s population, and its associated challenges and opportunities, has today been published by the Isle of Man Government.

Compiled by the Economic Affairs division in the Cabinet Office, the Review of Ageing Population Report provides an update on a 2013 research project which identified 11 areas that needed to be addressed to deal with the issue of an ageing population.

The new report updates the evidence base, identifies the Isle of Man’s forecast population by 2036, summarises what was suggested in the 2013 report and considers what progress has been made on the identified issues.

The report can be found at the Economic Affairs section of the Isle of Man Government website.
