At the Tynwald sitting on 17 November 2020 Regulations applying United Kingdom Statutory Instruments made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (of Parliament) in relation to sanctions measures were approved and will come into operation at 11pm on 31 December 2020.

The Regulations will replace European Union Sanctions Regulations which currently have effect in the Island from 11pm on 31 December 2020and are deemed necessary to keep the Island’s sanctions law in line with the United Kingdom when the transition period ends.
