A small landslip yesterday afternoon closed the Mountain Road in what was described as horrendous driving conditions.

Visibility was so poor that the road closure was extended beyond the immediate area of the landslip on the Mountain Mile to the Hairpin and the Creg Ny Baa because of fears that emergency vehicles would be hit by speeding cars
