The Income Tax public counter on the second floor of Government Office has been closed until and including 31 January 2021 to protect the welfare of customers and staff.
This is a particularly busy time of the year, especially as outstanding balances on 2019/20 personal tax assessments and 2020/21 payment on account notices payments aredue and payable tomorrow (Wednesday 6 January).
Given the closure of the counter facility, customers should pay any outstanding balances either by using Online Tax Services at www.gov.im/onlineservices or by calling +44 1624 685400 (option 1).
If you are unable to make payment by either of these methods please do so by posting a cheque payable to ‘Isle of Man Government’. Do not send any cash payments by post.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan MHK said:
‘I fully appreciate that many of you may wish to visit the tax office, particularly to pay your tax bill, but in the interests of the safety of our community it is unfortunately not possible in the current circumstances.
‘The Income Tax Division is fully committed to providing an excellent standard of customer service and if you have any enquiries relating to your tax affairs, or require any assistance in paying your bill, please do not hesitate to call and speak to experienced officers who are on hand to advise you.’
