Participants in Remembrance Day commemorations around the Island on Sunday 10 November will be able to travel to and from events for free on public transport.
The fee exemption will apply to anyone in uniform, including cadets and scouts, and those with evidence of their military service.
Jason Moorhouse MHK, Member with responsibility for Public Transport, said:
‘We offered free travel for the first time last year when it was well-received by the community.
‘Doing this not only shows support for those taking part in such important events, but also helps to ease congestion and parking issues as there are fewer cars on the road.
‘The measure will last all day and applies to everyone taking part in an official event or parade.’
